Show HINCKLEY . . . Sebrina Ekins M-S Layton Maxfield from Salt Lake City spent Sunday visiting M-S Amos Maxfield, the ocassion being Mr. Maxfield's birthday. Mrs. Kate Hutchinson, who has been in Salt Lake, came down on Sunday and is staying with her sister, Mrs. Ellen Cropper in Deseret. Deser-et. Mrs. John E. Wright came home Saturday after spending a week in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Robert E. Robinson spent the week in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lula Cropper spent a week in Salt Lake with her daughter, Melba. M-S Carl Hardy came home from Tooele this week. Mrs. Vera Bishop has gone to Sterling for several weeks. Her daughter, Arlene, came over here to stay during her visit at Sterling. Mrs. Savalla Pewtress from Tooele Too-ele spent several days visiting in Hinckley with her parents, M-E William Webb, and relatives. M-S C. C. Stratton spent last week in Tooele and Salt Lake. Mr. Clayton Stratton took his wife to a Salt Lake hospital last week for medical attention. A special program honoring the Scout Week will be held in the Ward Chapel Sunday evening. The program is being sponsored by both Ihe Sea Scouts and regular Scout troops. War mothers will be honored honor-ed at the program. At the P. T. A. meeting held on Thursday evening in the high school auditorium, a project was proposed to make a cement walk from the school to the seminary building. Work will start as soon as necessary applications are filed. Parents' Day to be held' in February Febru-ary w-as discussed as well as other major school problems. Parpnts were asked to donate towels to the high school physical department. After the business meeting two musical numbers were given by the high school mixed quartette, and then a play, "The House of Greed," directed by Principal Joe Buchanan's speech class. The next meeting will be held Feb. 22. At a recent meeting of the town board, Mrs. Edith Langston was suggested as quarantine agent for the town. Complying with the health laws of the state it shall be the duty of the people to report a communicable disease to Mrs. Langston within 24 hours or he will guilty of misdemeanor. The town board has bought the material to fininsh their stray pen that will be used to corral stray animals. A well will soon be driven at the raro track for Ihe stray pen. Recently through the cooperation coopera-tion of the town board and the ward the weeds were cleaned up and burned at the cemetery. The town board is also planning . an honor roll for their boys in the ' servic.6. |
