Show Agricultural Census The agriculture census is being taken in Millard County. This oi-fice oi-fice is appealing to all farmers to give an accurate account to the census taker of his farm acreage, crops and livestock. This is of vital vi-tal importance to the agriculture of Millard County. A census is of no benefit to anyone any-one if it. isn't more accurate than the 1940 census. Farmers are not hurt when an accurate census is taken. Census material is absolutely absolu-tely confidential. No one has a right to see any individual farmer's report. The importance of a correct census cen-sus can be illustrated by the record re-cord of 1940. During this year those of us who are familiar with the crops of Millard County know that he census was nearly 40 wrong on the farm acreage, number of farm crops, and livestock. For instance: in-stance: Millard County onlv showed show-ed 947 farms in 1940 but 3283 in the previous census taken in 1935 and over 1200 in the census of 1930. Remember that farm acreage allotments al-lotments in the old AAA program were based on census figures. Millard Mil-lard County was badly hurt by such allotments. No one knows what the future may bring in agri-culturp. agri-culturp. If we have to go back to allotments, it is important that every farmer give as correct an answer as is possible. It is also important that all farmers report. If you are farming and the census taker in your precinct does not see you, look him up.
