Show Deseret Irrigation Co. Holds Annual Election The Deseret Irrigation Company held their annual meeting at Deseret De-seret Monday morning. President N. L. Peterson was in charge of the meeting. Reelections were held for half of the board members and N. L. Petersen was reelected president presi-dent with Marcus Skeem vice-president and Roscoe E. Bell of Topaz director replacing Arthur 11. Reeve. A representative was needed from Topaz due to the fact that so much of the companys water has been turned over for use at Topaz. An application has been filed with the presiding bishopric in Salt Lake for a new $50,000.00 church controlled hospital at Delta. The application was filed recently by stake president Harold R. Muni's and Bishop A. O. Gardner of Delta. The application will be before the expenditure committee of the church this week and if accepted the church will donate $25,000 for the hospital. The county has already al-ready promised the sum of $10,-000.00 $10,-000.00 for the building and the people will have to furnish the balance. ba-lance. The project has been backed back-ed so far by all bishoprics of the stake, town board members of Hinckley and Delta, the Lions Club and the county officials. So with Civic and church backings a survey is being made this week for a suitable location in Delta. The hospital will be church owned and church Operated. " ' The. church has filed an application applica-tion with the WRA at Topaz for the first bid on the modern hospital hospi-tal at Topaz either for the equipment equip-ment or the entire hospital. If the Topaz hospital is impossible impossi-ble to get the hospital will he built in Delta as soon as conditions permit and materials are available. The building will be large enough to accommodate the entire population popula-tion of West Millard Co. |
