Show Announce Engagement Of Their Daughter Mr. and Mrs. Grant Moulton announce an-nounce the engagement "of their daughter, Garda, to Mr. Veldon R. Hodgson, of Newdale, Idaho. The couple met at a Los Angele Stake M. I. A. party, at Lake Enchanto, Calif. Veldon was then a Sgt. in the Marine Corps, and Garda was employed at the Walt Disney Studio Stu-dio and was living in Hollywood. Miss Lorraine Welton of Ogden spent the weekend with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Welton. Mrs. Glen Cahoon and her small daughter, Amber, of Las Vegas, returned home after spending a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Welton. Barbara Welton Wel-ton returned with her and will visit until school starts. Mrs. H. F. Stevens, from Holden, and her daughters, Mrs. Leda Wood, Mrs. Annie Johnson and Mrs. Edith Callister, spent Monday in Delta, visiting Mrs. Helen Baker. Bernard Owens Is in California for two weeks, for a course of training In the use of a new beet harvester. Three others are there for the same course, coming from Spanish Fork, Idaho, and Dakota. Cecil Baker, N. S. Bassett and N. E. Ward are fishing at Fish Lake this week. Lt. Lola Prestwich, from San Francisco, is spending a leave visiting vis-iting in Delta with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Prestwich. She will return to San Francisco August Aug-ust 30. Mrs. Lila Petty is spending this week en'' in Salt Lake City, where her hus d, Lionel Petty, is attending at-tending the school for barbers. Mrs. Richard Morrison and her three daughters and little son returned re-turned to Delta Tuesday from Huntington Hun-tington Beach, California, where they have spent the summer. The Sioux County Sewers met Monday, 18, and had a party for their mothers. They had a program in which everyone took part. Then ice cream and cake were served. All the mothers and daughters were present. The daughters showed their 4-H work to their mothers. Lt. and Mrs. R. V. Gardner, of Ft. Knox, Ky., announce the birth of a daughter, on August 18. Mrs. C. W. Underhill returned to Delta this week from a visit of two weeks in California. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bohn and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bennett made a trip to Ely over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, for the races and the fair. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lieberman have their mother, Mrs. Lieberman, from Salt Lake City, visiting here this week. |
