Show Agricultural Research Developments Impressive research results that have come out of the laboratories, field plots, and experimental kitchens kit-chens of the Department of Agriculture Agri-culture include the release in a single sin-gle year of 35 new varieties of strains of crop plants, stepping up production of penicillin, developing methods by which sheep can dose themselves for intestinal worms by taking worm medicine in their salt, curing Cheddar cheese in half the time previously required, revolutionizing revolu-tionizing ways of fighting insect scourges, and developing recipes so that new soybean products may be used to supplement scarcer foods. The Ann E. Melville Eishop Camp of the D U P will meet Friday.Feb. 18th at 3 p. m. at the home of Ver-na Ver-na Gardner. |
