Show Committee Elections Set For 1946 AAA The scheduule for AAA committeemen commit-teemen elections in Millard county was announced today by Thomas Reeve, chairman of the county A AA committee. Mr. Reeve listed the communities the polling places, and the dates and hours as follows: Hinckley and Abraham, Hinckley Hinck-ley high school, 2 p. m., Dec. 4. Deseret and Oasis, A. C. Nelson school, 2 p. m., Dec. 4. Sutherland, Relief Society hall, 2 p. m., Dec. 4. Delta, County offices, 2 p. m., Dec. 4. Oak City, Leamington and Lynndyl, Lynn-dyl, Leamington school, 8 p. m. Dec. 4 In each community farmers will elect three committeemen, a chairman, chair-man, and two alternates. Elected at the same time will be delegates to a county convention to be held, later where a county committee will be elected for the coming year. Discussing the role of community communi-ty committeemen, Mr. Reeve pointed out that soil and water conservation will continue to loom large among AA program objectives. object-ives. Under next year's prograb, funds will be allocated to each county, and committeemen will have more responsibility in helping help-ing their neighbors to round out soil-building plans for individual farms within the scope of approved approv-ed practices. This is only one of the programs for which committeemen commit-teemen have a great responsibility. |
