Show Abraham PEGGY FRANKLIN Visiting Tuesday with Mrs. Julia Bliss were her mother, Mrs. Lydia Finlinson and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Richard Finlinson. Mrs. Afton Robinson and infa.il son visited from Tuesday until Sun day of last week with relatives in Silt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Taylor were in aPyson last week wheer Mr. Taylor attended a meeting for all the stake leaders and ward bishoprics bish-oprics meeting with the MIA general gen-eral board members. Mr. and Mrs. Raleight Franklin made a business trip to Salt Lake City Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stoneking i have heard from their son, Carl Stoneking, who is with the armed arm-ed forces stationed in England and he w.ants to say "Hello" to all his frinds. Carl has been taking some of the tours around England and its vicinity and ihe finds it very interesting. Mrs. Dorothy Thompson had word from her husband that he was shipping out for Alaska. Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Fullmer and ohildren visited over the week end with Mr. and Mrs. John Fullmer. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bliss.. drove out to the Nevada line Sunday on Highway 6. They reported a lot of traffic on the .new highway, which is such a big improvement over the old route. Ward conference was held here Sunday evening. The stake presidency, presi-dency, Pres. June Black, Verdell Bishop, Jay Nelson .and stake clerk Lloyd Sohlappi were speakers. Musical numbers were furnished by LaRayne Petersen and Lois Stoneking, a duet, Valay Deem, a piano solo and a song by La-Voy La-Voy Tolbert. Officers of the different dif-ferent organizations were called upon to speak. They were Gus Taylor, Eleanor Murray, Lee Talbot, Tal-bot, Elcadean Barker, Arnold Peterson, Pet-erson, and Marilyn Murray. They hadn't expected to be called upon and were very much surprised to have to get up .and talk in meeting. meet-ing. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Thomas and two children and Mrs. Christensen all of Ogden visited over the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Barker and celebrated Mrs. Thomas' Thom-as' and Mrs. Barker's birthdays with a turkey dinner. They also spent some time in Oak City canyon, can-yon, which is really beautiful this time of the year. MyTon Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Taylor, left Sunday for Provo, where he will enter the BYU. He is a graduate of the Hinckley high school. His roommates room-mates will be Ronnie Nielson and Daryl Cropper of Hinckley. Last week is was stated that I.aVoy Tolbert was president of the HHS when he is vice president and Merlin Theobald of Hinckley is President. The Abraham MIA officers and teachers attended leadership meet ing in Delta Monday evening. |
