Show Hinckley Lad Is Wounded In Korea Action Pvt. Lawrence Wright, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Wright, of Hinckley, was wounded in action in Korea June 24, according to a telegram from the Department of Defense Wednesday. No details were given, as to the nature of his wound, or the action in which it was received. His parents were advised that further fur-ther information would be sent later. Pvt. Wright, a graduate of Hinck ley high school, has been in Korea a little over six weeks. His twenty third birthday is July 3. Since last week Mr. and Mrs. Wright have had a letter from. Lawrence, telling them he was not seriously hurt. He had shrapnel shrap-nel wounds in his thigh, but expected ex-pected to be out of the hospital within twelve days. Pvt. Wright entered the service last October and trained at Camp Roberts, Cal. He arrived overseas April 17 of this year. In Japan he met his brother, Boyd, in service there, and in Korea he has been with his friend, Fay Dutson, who also wrote home to report that Lawrence's wound was slight. |
