Mrs. Ranae Bunch, who has been treated at the Delta hospital for a fractured pelvis and a compound fracture of the leg following a car crash on U S. 6 In October, was taken to the home of her parents, near Los Angeles, where her little daughter, Penny, who was unhurt In the same accident, has been staying with her grand- ' parents. MABEL HARDER Mr and Mrs. Leonard Dulson left last week to spend several days in San Francisco with their daughter,, Donna and family. Mr. and Mrs. John Evans drove to Holden Monday to attend the birthday party for an aged rela-tive. Nine couples from Leamington took advantage of the opportunity to learn square dancing Saturday evening in Lynndyl. The next class will .be held in Leamington Dec. 6 Josiah Nielson has been seri-ously ill the past week. His son, Kello, has been home with him the past few days. Mrs. Reuben Jones and Deroy drove up from Milford Sunday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Walker Finlinson. Russell and Scott Lee Finlinson returned to Milford to spend Thanksgiving with their grandmothe.-- . Mrs. Ronald Nielson is staying here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Nelson, while her hus-band gets settledin the army at Fort Ord, California. Mrs. Rulon Dutson received a call from her son, Elwood, from Seattle Saturday slaying he was leaving for the Far East with Korea as the destination. Seven Explorer Scouts from Leamington will receive their Sil-ver awards Saturday night lat the Court of Honor at Delta. A ban-quet before the program is being prepared by the officers of the various wards. The program and banquet are open to the pblic and all are invited to attend. The Sil-ver award is the highest award in Explorer Scouting. j Abraham PEGGY FRANKLIN We are all very much concerned for Mrs Benny Schena, who is suf-fering from an attack of polio. Lecky is in u.n iron lung in the Sa"- Lake General hospital and has paralysis of the throat and 0 is paralyzed from the waist down. Benny is in Salt Lake City with his wife and Monday Mrs. Mary Schena, Carmela and Bea-trice left to join him there Sun-day in church Mr. Barker asked a special prayer for Becky's recov-ery. Mrs. Rebecca Schena, Mrs. Cleon Tolbert and Mrs. June Reid attend ed an educational meeting in Fill-more last Wednesday. The Abraham Relief Society ba-za- rr will be held Dec. 11 instead of the 7th as was announced last week. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Tripp and daughters, Kathleen, Sheila and Dorlene of Callao, visited Thurs-day and Friday tat the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Franklni. Halley Kay Young and Sid M. Young have been down with the chicken pox and this week Kimmy Franklin tfias the measles. The Mutual will sell refresh-ments at the show each Wednes-day night in Abraham. In this way they nope to raise some funds to help finance activities in the MIA. Mrs. Mary Schena, Carmela and Ray were in Ely to visit Mrs. Schena's brother this past week. Lee Talbot made a trip to Salt Lake City Tuesday to go to the clinic. Mrs. Kenneth Barker went shop-ping Saturday in Salt Lake City with a friend. Mr. land Mrs. Parley Deem visited in Brigham City with their families and friends. They and their daugh-ters, aMrilyn and Parciel are leav-ing Tuesday for California, where they will make their home for the winter. Mr. land Mrs. Clifdord Petersen were called to Logan to take their son, Arnold to a specialist after he was taken ill suddenly. Arnold has been attending college there. Several of the folks out our way are getting new television sets in-stalled land having very good re-ception. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Murray are starting the remodeling on their home. Pvt. Collins Fullmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fullmer, visited in Obraham Sunday and had din-ner with Mr. and Mrs. John Full-mer. Collins is expecting to be shipped overseas when his leave is up. Thursday Mrs. iMdna Overson left for Stockton for a weekend visit with her daughter there. Friday she attend-ed the Salt Lake tmple with Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Jacobs. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Nielson land baby spent a five-day- s leave here with Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson, before leaving for his new assign-ment at Mitchell Field, New York. Kent's wife and daughter will acmopany him there. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hogan returned from Pasadena, Calif., af-ter the wedding of their daughter, Marylene to Mr. CI iff Stevenson. Miss Romay Hogan returned with them and is visitnig here prior to her entering the mission home on December 1. Mrs. Lile Johnson and Ross spent the. weekend in Los Angeles visit-ing Miss Clorean Johnson and oth-er relatives Mr. and Mrs. Clead Nielson and sons, Merrill and Allen, left for Las Vegas where they will spend Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Willard Stewart. Ward conference was held Sun-day evening with members of the stake presidency attending. Talks were 'given by Barton Sheriff, Jo-A-Johnson, Romay Hogan, Bp. Greathouse and all members of the stake presidency.
