S. Xuwa; By ARLENE OGDEN The Delta FFA and FHA Harvest Ball was a big success Friday ' night. LaRue Anderson, senior, was ' crowned queen, with Lila Gonder and Iris Holman as attendants. Other queens and attendents are in the picture in this paper. During the evening a radio and a turkey were given to the lucky numbers. Sugarville really had the luck on this. J. S. Shurtz won the turkey and Robert Meinhardt won Ihe radio. Senior Hop Alter several lengthy meetings the senior finally decided on a theme for their annual hop, which will be Dec. 23rd. Their theme is "Silver Bells". Working on the committee for this event are Merle Orton and Verl Jensen. Sound System The school has purchased a new and fifty dollar sound system, turntable and mike lor the school socials and other school functions during the year. Follies Date The date set for the follies this year is January 14 and 15. The theme of the Follies has been chosen as "The Lullaby of Broad-way". Tryouts School play try-out- s were held Monday and Tuesday. We are re-ally looking 'forward to a swell play this year. Basketball Our first practice basketball game is schaduled for Friday the 28th, with Snow. The students are really looking forward to their Thanksgiving vaotion.
