Show Millard county chronicle . Delta, Utah, Thurs., Nov. 27, 1352 Mrs. Jean Andrus and her little 'daughter from Boise, Idaho, ar-rived in Delta Thursday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Judcl. Her husband, Ivan Andrus will join the family here for Thanksgiving day, and they will return home on the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Petersen, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Maxfield, left Delta Satur-day for Colorado. From there they will drive into Texas where Mr. Petersen has business to attend to, and return home by way of Al-buquerque, N. M. They expect to spend a week on the trip. Delta Art Club Is Entertained Mr. and Mrs. Lafe hosts Morley were Saturday night at the an- - nual Delta Art Club Thanksgiving party for members and hubands Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Morrison, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Receipts Based on information received from the Regional Forester, Ogden, Utah, Supervisor L. G. Woods of the Fishlake National Forest re-- I ports that 25 of all Fishlake Na-- tional Forest receipts has been dis tributed to the counties in which the forest is located. The distribution is based upon the net national forest acres in each county. A total of $24,140.74 was distri-buted to Beaver, Iron, Juab, Mil-lard, Piute, San Pete and Wayne counties, whose net forest area-acre- s are 1,416,036. Millard county, with 298,877 net forest area - acres, received next to the highest among the coun-ties listed, with $5,095.29. The highest was to Sevier county, 683, 160 N. Hunsaker had a fam ily dinner parly Sunday for Thanks giving before the departure of her son, Leland, for two years in Au-stralia in the LDS mission field. There were twenty-si- x with the present, children and their fami-ly. Only one child was absent. Howard, who is at the BAC in Codar City. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hunsaker and family came from Ruth, Nev., and the others were Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hunsaker, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Giles, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Steele, Leland, Leon, Ronilla and Ranae of Delta. Leland leaves this week for San Diego, and ships from the;e early in De-cember for Australia. NOTICE: Notice is hereby given of the coming School Board election Dec.3,1952. At that time a member of the Board of Education will be elected from the Fifth School Re-presentative Precinot, comprising 18 and 18M in Delta, 20 at Suther-land, and 21 at Woodrow. There will be two polling places, one at Sutherland and one at Delta high school. 1127 Mr. and Mrs. Winford Peterson of Glendive, Mont., are announcing the birth of a son on Nov. 14. He is their second boy. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Theobald, Mrs. Nora Knight, Mrs. W. Law, and Mrs. Alice Black-burn attended the funeral services in Logan last week for Garth Er-nest Blackburn, who died in an aiplane crash the preceding Satur-day at Salt Lake City. He was a grandson of Mrs. Blackburn and a nephew of Mrs. Knight and Mrs. Law. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Spencer and daughter, Phyllis from Minnesota, visited in Delta this week with Mr. and Mrs. Hennlng Hegman. R. H. Billings, former Deltan now living at Berkeley, Cal., was in Delta Wednesday, and made a short visit here before going on to Salt Lake City. Visitors at the home of Mr. and 'Mrs. W. E. Black during the past week were their nephew, Galen Clark of Morgan, Utah, land their sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Hammond Reese of Price. |
