Show Services Held Tuesday For F. J. O'Connor Funeral services for Fred J.. O'Connor, O'-Connor, 74 well known North Tract farmer, were conducted Tuesday morning at L. N. Nickle and sons mortuary. Mr. O'Connor died Satur day afternoon at his home in Delta of coronary occlusion. He was born June 5, 1878, in Boston, Mass., and his early life was lived at West Bridgewater, Mass., the family home. He first came to Delta in -1913, and remained for two years, and then went to Chicago. He returned here in 1917, and has lived here since. He farmed at his North Tract farm until four years ago, when he retired and moved into Delta. He was never married. . He was a bricklayer by trade and when he first came here was employed to lay brick on the A.C. Nelson school building at Deseret He was staying with Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bassett at that time,, and he walked from there to Deseret, some seven miles distant, every morning and returned afoot after the day's work until his job was done. Mr. O'Connor was a good friend and neighbor, and in a quiet way had often lent a helping hand where needed. He is survived by one brother, Oeorge B. O'Connor, at West Brldgewater, M ass. and a sister-, in-law, Mrs. Arthur W. O'Connor, m New York state. Bishop E. L. Moody, of Delta Third ward, conducted the services Tuesday morning. George Jensen, former bishop of Sugarville ward, and a friend and neighbor of Mr. O'Connor's for many years, was a speaker. Burial was Ln the Delta cemetery, ceme-tery, under direction of L. N. Nicole Nic-ole and sons mortuary. |
