Show Plan June Party For Enlistees MJRichffield Southern Utah military man -power committee .and Jensen-Colby Post 45, American Legion, Richfield, Rich-field, are planning a farewell party par-ty for Army and air force enlistees enlist-ees for June. Mrs. Rula J. Fullenbaoh, Richfield, Rich-field, chairman of the military manpower committee, and Reed Blomquist, of Jensen-Colby A L Post, have decided to give all the men who volunteer for the army or air force this month a big farewell fare-well party the evening of June 25, at the American Legion Club in Richfield. Since this month is the last month that a selective service registrant reg-istrant who had had his pre-induc-tion exams can volunteer for the army or air force, and the volume of high school and college graduates gradu-ates applying for enlistment is high, Sgt. Stinson, army and air force recruiter was asked to name a day for forwarding applicants appli-cants from his area. He, being somewhat of a fisherman himself, chose June 25, so anyone who applies now will have at least ten days of fishing before enlisting.. Those who appply now will be forwarded to Ft. Douglas for processing, pro-cessing, then come back home to go fishing until the evening of June 25, when they, with their parents, girl friend, wife, are all invited to the big party mentioned mention-ed above. . After the party the commanding command-ing officer of Fort Dougals will give the oath of enlistment to the whole group. .Then all, still as a group, wil board a waiting bus for Fort Douglas to spend the night before departing next day for their basic training centers. Call Sgt. Stinson at Richfield, 662 collect, if you wish to enlist in the air force before it is too late. . |
