Show WHO'S WHO? ? . i " . : '". ... " :: ', ', , " "r f Born and raised in west Millard were these little children, eldest of ten children. Since this picture was taken 50 years or so have passed, and this affectionate brother and sister are now grandparents. Valentine greetings come with this picture, as the little boy was was a happy Valentine event for his parents in the year 1897. He was also the first grandson for certain cer-tain early settlers. The little sister is a year and a half younger, and all her life has been lived in west Millard. The brother lived in three local communities, com-munities, engaged in several enter prises, mostly selling cars. Since 1930 he has lived in California with his wife and two daughters, and now, three grandchildren. The boy once raised considerable hubbub as a young man, by getting get-ting pinned under a drainage machine. mac-hine. It looked for a time as tho' he was going to have to stay there and fossilize in Millard mud. But by great heave-ho-Lng a crew of hard workers fished him out. And from then on he has stayed away from any machinery heavier than an egg beater and stays with an office job. Among other things that have kept him busy are riding horses as a jockey in various county fairs, when he was young and spry and being in the army in World War 1, stationed in the states. The sister, being welfare conscious con-scious and civic minded, is kept busy indeed with various projects. And she has proved invaluable time after time when and where a helping hand was needed. In her spare time she trims hats with pheasant feathers, which are a source of envy to her friends and discomfort to the pheasants. |
