Show All Stars Get Awards For Season's Play Lynndyl baseball team won the championship trophy in the Junior League baseball for this season. At the close of the regular season sea-son play an all-star first and second se-cond team were chosen and also names were selected for the honorable hon-orable mention list. Each of the first team received a gold baseball memento to signify sig-nify their outstanding play during the past season. They are Theron Johnson, Sutherland; John What-cott, What-cott, Lynndyl; Dee Nielson, Lynndyl. Lynn-dyl. Jimmie Evans, Delta Second; Edward Skidmore, Sutherland; Monan Lovell, Oak City; Raymond Vest, Lynndyl; Ronald Anderson, Oak City and Jimmi Porter, Sutherland. Suth-erland. Second team members were David Da-vid Seegmiller, Delta Second; El-vin El-vin Tanner, Hinckley; Arnold Peterson, Pe-terson, Abraham; Dale Bliss, Hinck ley; Lloyd Warner, Delta Second; Clinton Roper, Lynndyl. Raymond Callister, Delta Third; Robert Cal-lister, Cal-lister, Delta Third; Carl Oliver, Su-garville; Su-garville; and Joe Young .Abraham. Honorable mention goes to Niel Swensen, Hinckley; Gene Vest, of Lynndyl; Merrill Nielson, Lynndyl; Frank Grygla, Lynndyl; Clarence Prestwich, Delta Second; Lynn Prestwich, Delta Second; Donald Floyd, Delta Second, and Hal Young, Abraham. In the baseball game on August 22 the Junior League All Stars lost to the Oak City Senior League championship team by a score of 15 to 2. Even though the score appeared one-sided, the Junior All Stars made a eood showing, con- sidering that they had not played together before. Immediately following the game trophies and medals were awarded to winners of the various leagues. The Lynndyl team won the Junior Laegue trophy, and the Lynndyl Pee Wees received a trophy as champions of the Pee Wee League |
