Show Deseret LUCILLE SAMPSON Wednesday July 19, the officers of the Deseret Garden Club met at the home of Mrs. Beth Anderson at Hinckley with the officers of of the other garden clubs of West Millard to receive instructions on the flower show for the fair on August 11 and 12 at Deseert. The Deseret Garden Club met at the home of Mrs. Mary Anderson Ander-son Thursday, July 20. The instructions instruc-tions the officers received at Mrs. Beth Anderson's were passed on to the club and the culture of gladioli was given by the club president, Mrs. Rutfi Dewsnup. Hostesses were Mrs. Faye Davis and Mrs. Mary Anderson. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served. On Friday, July 28, instructions on flower arrangement will be given by Mrs. Beth Anderson of Hinckley, at the home of Mrs. Blanch Jensen. Everyone interested is invited to attend. Sheldon, Anna May and Jay Ekins, children of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ekins, spent the weekend with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dewsnup. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Rowley and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Bunker spent the weekend at Henry Hen-ry Creek, Nevada. Carl Webb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer" Webb, fell from his bike Tuesday evening and broke both bones in his right arm just about the wrist. He was taken to the Delta hospital where Dr. Bird reset re-set his arm. |
