Show Former Resident Dies Aged 79 In California Mrs. Louisa M. Seams, 79, a Del-tan Del-tan of many years ago, died Feb. 7 in California at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leona Anderson. The message came from her son's wife, Mrs. Earl F. Seams, of Fillmore, Fill-more, Cal., and stated that Mrs. Seams had been ill for some time. She came to Delta in 1913 with her husband, J. B. Seams, and family fam-ily and they settled on the North Tract where they developed and im proved the ranch now occupied by George Jensen. Mr. Seams died in 1920 and in 1921 Mrs. Seams returned to California to be near her children. Surviving are six children, 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Mrs. Seams was a member of Monterey Park Rebekah Lodge No. 12, also of Eastern Star, and was a member mem-ber of Monterey Park Methodist church. While living on the North Tract she was a member o fthe Friendly Thimble club at Sugar-ville. Sugar-ville. Funeral services were held Friday, Fri-day, Feb. 10, in the chapel of Turner, Tur-ner, Stevens, Turner mortuary in Alhambra. Burial was in Rose Hills cemetery. Six of her grandsons act ed as pall bearers. The Rebekah Lodge assisted in the services. |
