Show Auxiliary Lists New Activities The Auxiliary of Post 117, American Am-erican Legion, held a social 'and baby shower at their meeting on Monday night. Each member contributed con-tributed an article of clothing for a baby, and enough garments were received to make up two layettes for the welfare project. Cards were played later and refreshments served. ser-ved. Lucy Mitchell and Carol Bishop Bish-op were the hostesses. The Auxiliary also won the award aw-ard for the first Unit in the Dept. with their full quota in the membership mem-bership contest ending Nov. 20. Their membership is 63 with a r.imta nf fif) During the week two boxs of clothing and dolls were shipped for children at the Martha home in Ogden. WILL GIVE BLOOD The Legion and Auxiliary walking walk-ing blood bank donated blood Mon day at St. Mark's hospital in replacement re-placement for blood used for Kenneth, Ken-neth, the small son of Mr .and Mrs. Roy Thomas, at the Shriner's children's hospital. Members will donate or replace blood, the Auxiliary Aux-iliary says at any time. When blood is needed, call Mrs. Lu Swal-berg, Swal-berg, who has charge of the list o'f blood types in the membership. OLD CLOTHING The Auxiliary is calling for old clothing, which will be shipped to Korea. Something warm and wearable wear-able wil be welcomed. Anyone having hav-ing some clothing to give, call Golda Bishop, phone 1853, Mrs. Swalberg, phone 3971, or see Max-in Max-in Bishop, who will call and pick up the clothes. |
