Black, Deseret stake president, and E. Eugene Gardner, Gard-ner, observe M. Ward Moody as he places a steel box containing a program of the ceremony and roll call of all present in the cornerstone of the new Delta Third ward and stake house building. It is planned to open the box in 25 years and read out the contents. Bricks in the cornerstone were laid by Pres. Block, M. Ward Moody, Jos. T. Finlinson, E. L. Lyman, of past stake presidencies, each bishop from wards in the stake, and some of the high councilman. The ceremony was conducted Tuesday, Nov. 28, by Marion Henrie, Chairman of the building build-ing committee. Merlin Christensen, Christen-sen, Third ward work director, lead the community singing. A prayer was offered by Warren Henderson. Speakers were Bishop Bish-op E. L. Moody, Pres. Harold R. Morris, Pres. Joseph T. Finlinson, Finlin-son, Merlin Christensen, and Pres. June W. Black. ' Closing song was "Put Your Shoulder To The Wheel" led by Mrs. Christensen and Eldro Jeffery of fered the closing prayer. |
