Show 0 Pelianal Onteted I Leo Burraston took me up by ! airplane over the old river bed up ! north, circling Reservoir Butte 3 ' times, and also making three more ' flights around Cup Butte. Some ' excellent photos were got. For div 1 ersion Leo landed on the old , I smoothed, inviting river bed in a I nice flat place, soft, no lumps and ' no rocks. We chatted there for j about a half hour before taking off. Views of Desert Mountains were taken, where I have been afoot ' several times; nice Indian glyphs on the right hand portion of this pair - - - the darker rocks, which have a patina. It was a very enjoyable trip, filled fil-led with much information and stu dy. It will try to write it up later for a city paper. Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Taggart returned re-turned to Delta Saturday, from 2 weeks in Cal. With thm is Miss Lynn Marr, of Hollywood, who will visit them and sightsee in Utah. Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Tippetts, now locaed at Hurricane, were Delta visitors over the weeknd with their ' children here. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Pace were Delta visitors Sunday, returning that evening to Salt Lake City where Mr. Pace is serving on the stale liquor commision. Bill Mortensen returned to Delta where he had spent 3 months in Saturday , from Sheridan, Wyo., the veterans' hospital for treatments. treat-ments. Bill has gained weight, and says he feels better than he has in years. While in Sheridan he had frequent visits with David Bishop son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop who is there in the LDS mission field. - Mrs. Laura Johnson had most of her children and grandchildren visiting her over the weekend. Home at this time are Mr. and Mrs. Verl Johnson and children, from Butte, Mont, Mrs. La Preal Ogden and two children, from Los Angeles, and Miss Cheryl Vance. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Johnson were in from the Warm Creek ranch at Gandy for Saturday and Sunday, and also here were Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Nelson of Nephi, and Mr. and Mrs. Bryce AUred, from Salt Lake City. |
