Show Metal Markers Will Aid Safety At School Zone The city of Delta has purchas-de purchas-de two all-metal 4-toot figures to mark the, school zone area as a safety measure for the pupils in Deta schools. The colored markers represent a little girl, hoding the sign "School Zone". One will be placed on Clark St. at the Texaco service station, and the other will be at the intersection intersec-tion farther east, at the Conoco service station. Stations" attendants Roy Steele at Texaco , and Virl Kimber at Conoco, will put the figures fig-ures out each day at 8 a. m., and take them in at 5 p. m. The markers compel attention, and motorists will do their part by driving carefully through the school zone. Pupils are asked to do their part, too, by using the intersections inter-sections where the new markers stand guard. Parents of pupils liv- ' south of Clark Street can help greatly by pointing out to their I children the wisdom of using the I I crossings so designated. |
