Mr. and Mrs. Glen Christenson Jimmy Mathews, and Grant Christenson Christ-enson from Nephi were Oak City visitors last week. Miss Verlene Peterson is returning return-ing to Blanding after spending the past two weeks visiting with her sister Mrs. Ralph Christenson. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Christenson entertained at Nephi with a birthday birth-day dinner honor of Mrs. Christen-son's Christen-son's father, Ivan Shipley Sunday afternoon. Those enjoying the dinner din-ner were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Shipley and daughters Geniel and Verna Mae and son Larry. Mr. James Anderson was surprised sur-prised with a party given by his wife Saturday evening, Feb. 19, the occasion being Mr. Anderson's birth day. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Nielson and son spent the week end in Oak City. Mrs. Caddie Anderson, Chris Anderson And-erson and Wilbert Anderson were Provo and Salt Lake visitors Tuesday Tues-day and Wednesday. Mrs. Anderson Ander-son remained in Provo until Saturday, Satur-day, where Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Anderson brought her home. When they returned to Provo Sunday, Mrs. Anderson returned with them. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Anderson had their daughter, Barbara home from Dixie last week. Elwood Lovell visited in Oak City last week. Oak City is enjoying the milder weather after the long freeze. The roads are very slushy and wet, yet a good slow way to get rid of the accumulated snow, and the lack of wind is appreciated during this thaw.
