Show Oasis Mrs La Veda Bishop Last week Mrs. Eugene Mem-mott, Mem-mott, her sons, Berdell and Mel-vin, Mel-vin, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams spent one day in Salt Lake City. They shopped, visited and saw the sights of the city and returned re-turned home in the wee small hours to a worried and sleepless Eugene. Wash Roundy left Monday morning morn-ing to go to California to add a few supers to his bee hives. Belief Be-lief was that he would wait another an-other day so hecould take in one more square dance at Sutherland, but he is like Nog Christensen, he can't stand to be away too long from those little winged gold diggers dig-gers of his. Mrs. Erma Skeem and son, Calvin, Cal-vin, spent last week end (a week ago) in Salt Lake visiting Helen. Mr. and Mrs. LaMoine Bond and family from Salt Lake dropped in. Saturday night at the home of their father, Dave Nichols, only find the door literally closed to their faces. You see it was like this Ralph came down with a case of chicken pox on Saturday and it's a dead cinch Dave wasn't going to let that little new grand daughter, his one and only, get exposed to the chicken pox. Of course, it wouldn't have been so bad for his two favorite grandsons, grand-sons, David and Keith, but as long as the baby couldn't come in they might as well keep the rest out. So Mr. and Mrs. Wash Roundy took the travelers in and gave them a bed to which they were welcome, and it all turned out well. Sunday the Nichols family fam-ily met in church where Grandpa Dave christened the little baby Laura. Miss Pearl Nichols from Salt Lake visited with the Nichols family fam-ily from Friday night until Sunday afternoon when she returned to Salt Lake with the Bond family. Mrs. Randall Whiting and sons, Glen and Max, and Max's girl friend from Ogden spent Saturday night and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Anderson. The family fam-ily attended Sacrament meeting where Glen chirstened his little nephew, Jack Randall Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Day spent Monday in Provo visiting relatives. Sunday evening the Primary ward conference was held. The program was enjoyed by a large number of parents and ward members. mem-bers. Mrs. Adrian Hansen from Delta represented the stake board. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Williams from Murray and Mrs. Mamie Pearson from Sandy came to Oasis Sunday and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Gillen and family. Mrs. Fay Howells, two children, |
