Show Santa And Snow Arrive Together On Saturday Call Old Santa Claus received a warm welcome Saturday afternoon an his arrival in Delta, despite a cold wind and snow storm. More than a thousand children waited to greet Santa and talk to him personally, if possible Santa arrived by plane, circling over Delta several times to and at the airport.He was brought from there by the Delta fire truck into town, where he spent a busy half hour talking with the children. Members of the Delta City Coun cil were busy too, helping Santa distribute all-day suckers and oranges or-anges to the young folks. Each child received his candy and 1100 suckers were given out that day. Then the children went to the Crest Theatre for a free show, where every seat was filled, in many cases, double. Santa was not the only one with a red nose and rosy cheeks Saturday Satur-day for the wind howled all day, whipping snow and stinging faces. Fingers and toes were numbed with cold as the children crowded around the old fellow. But none seemed to mind, and waved him happily on his way.
