Show Bank Caves On Workman Friday afternoon about 3 p. m. the fire siren called the Delta city volunteer fire department to the Wasatch service station. On arrival, they found there was no blaze, but almost a serious accident. A man, one of the crew working on the trench for the sewer line, was caught in a dirt slide above his hips, and-pinned there by a big hunk of frozen dirt. The trench is about ten feet deep, and a crew was working there with a power shovel, when the side of the trench caved in, partly burying the worker. Quick work by fellow workers and members mem-bers of the fire department soon had him out, unhurt but rather shaken. |
