Show I Done Joins Flying Farmers Mr. Harold J. Done of Delta, has recently received his 1948 membership member-ship in the Utah and National Flying Fly-ing Farmers Asociation. Mr. Done, who owns his own plane and has a private pilot's license finds, like many other Flying Farmers thru-out thru-out the United States, that the airplane air-plane is a very practical and useful use-ful piece of farm equipment. Besides Be-sides the pleasure Mr. Done has in flying his own plane, he uses it for looking over farms, checking livestock, flying distances (as it has called for in the past few years) for repair parts and other uses that a farmer, has when getting get-ting somewhere and back in a hurry hur-ry saves time and money. Like other oth-er Flying Farmers Mr. Done has his own landing strip and hangar on his farm. The National Flying Farmers Association is an organization organiz-ation designed for the collective effort to better rural aviation. ' Some of the purposes of the organization organ-ization is to promote the . educational educa-tional and scientific development of, and to advance the use of, the airplane in America's agricultural industry. Too cooperate in research re-search aimed at improving aircraft j designed for agricultural use. To promote facilities that will encourage encour-age and advance rural aviation. To serve as a "clearing-house" for the rural pilot's ideas, opinions, wishes and needs, and to be a medium through which the public and the aviation industry may be made aware of these ideas and problems. Application for membership member-ship blanks to the Utah Flying Farmers may be obtained by those interested in this organization from Mr. Leo R. Burreston, Manager, Del-Aero Del-Aero Flying Service, at the Delta Municipal Airport. |
