Show I..YXXWIX .,44... Mrs. II. Simpson i Mrs. Rachel Simpson is enjoying her visit in California, and is much improved in health. Mrs. Simpson and grandson, Gary Thompson, were honored guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hath-away on their birthdays. A de-licious turkey dinner was served. Other quests were Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Thompson and Jimmy, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Corbitt and mother, Mrs. Anna Hathaway, of Reseda; California; also Carl Hathaway. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Thompson entertained in honor of Mrs. Simpson and Gary. Cards were enjoyed and a very tasty lunch was served including a beautiful birthday cake. There for the even-- 1 ing were Mr. and Rsrs. Henry Hath-away and Carl, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Gaisford and sons, Carolyn Simp-son. The honored guests received many beautiful present. Mrs. Simp- - son will return home after spend-ing a few days at Idlewild, Calif-ornia, with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hathaway . at their cabin "Oak Haven". A very appreciative audience fil-led the ward hall Tuesday evening, when the Delta high school pre-sented their play, "Don't Take My Penny." Four of the lead parts were taken by our students; Marlene Mills, Colleen Nielson, Joyce Ter-ry and Darold Whatcott. They all did very well. Mrs. Frank Osborne and Mrs. Sam Cline, of Milford, came up to see the play and to visit the Roy Mills family. They are Mrs. Mills mother and sister. Mrs. Leslie Haycock and baby daughter, Carol, returned to their home in Salt Lake City Monday, after spending a week here, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith drove to Scipio Tuesday, where Mrs. Smith spent the remainder of the week with her daughter, Mrs. Don Law-so- n and family. Mr. Smith went back and brought her home Sat-urday. At present Mrs. Smith is visiting in Salt Lake City. Mrs. J. A. Banks returned from Milford Wednesday bringing her little grandson, Freddie Miller with her. Miss Gladys Banks came home from Cedar City Saturday, for a short visit with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Woodbury and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shipley attended the Stake party for Special Interest Groups of MIA. Bishop and Mrs. Clead Nielson and son, AJvin, have gone to Pheo-ni- x, Arizona, taking Mrs. Minnie Ashby for a visit with the Orran Ashby family. Mrs. Margie Greathouse went to Salt Lake to visit her daughters, Emmogene and Denece, also her mother, Mrs. Farnsworth. Mrs. Marilyn Black is spending a few 'days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Terry.- Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Gearld Nielson were Salt Lake visitor Monday and Tuesday. Mrs. Earl Greathouse was also a City shopper last week. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen have gone to San Francisco to visit Mr. Allen's mother. They also plan on visiting their daughter, Mrs. May Miller and son, Billy, while in Cal. Last week when Mrs. Roy Niel-son collided with a cow on the highway, it 'was the car that was badly damaged, not the cow. Old man winter has finally ar-rived on the scene. The thermom-eter says six below and still go-ing .down. Miss Sherie Mills writes home that she is enjoying school very much. The little paper has four pages and is managed by Frank jG. Shelley and edited by Leonard :V. McDonald. Carrying a strong appeal to the agriculturist, the .News is meeting with ready ac-ceptance by Utah farmers and the 'publication carries the blessing of ithe State Board of Agriculture.
