After the 23 "Grennhands" were subjected to all sorts of atro-ities atro-ities such as eating worms and drinking blood they were awarded membrership pins and enjoyed spudnuts and pop. The new Ag. progTam this year consists of 2 hours a day. 3 days a week are spent in the shop under un-der the direction of Mr. Floyd where the studeits are learning how to weld, and repair all types of farm machinery, and a basis of knowledge of electricty. 2 days a week Mr. Ogden teaches Ag. Both are junior students at the Delta high school. Members of the Chapter are now selling Christmas cards, to help defray the expenses of the trip. Although many people consider the Ag. Club a minor group in the Delta high school, it operates on a budget of $3,000 annually and the project income of its 55 members mem-bers is well over $6,000. On Oct. 8, L. R. Humphreys, teacher tea-cher trainer from the USAC at Logan, paid the Chapter a visit. He stressed to the members that a supervised farming program and not recreation is the chief aim of the FFA organization and he pleaded ple-aded with the members to do their best at all times. Regular Chapter meetings will be held the first and third Monday of each month with officers meetings meet-ings held each Monday. |
