Show Death Reported Of S. J. Harmon Samuel J. Harmon, about 50 years of age, and a former resident resi-dent of Deseret and Delta, was killed in Chester, Illinois, Monday, Feb. 23, in an automobile-truck accident, according to word received re-ceived Saturday in Wallsburg, Wasatch Was-atch county. Mr. Harmon spent some years here trapping, and also carried mail to Callao C. C. C. camps, and Burbank. A son, Joe Harmon, died in the service in World War II, while the family had their home in Delta. They moved to Illinois several years ago. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edith Lawson Harmon, and seven children; Jack IS, Kenneth and Gwenoth, twins 16, Jimmy 3 and Catherine Sue Harmon 8 months, all of Chester, Illinois; Cleamon Harmon, with the navy in Maryland, Mary-land, and Mrs. Lester Mecham, Midvale; also two grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Chester, and graveside services were held in Wallsburg cemtery on Monday afternoon. |
