With Exception of a Few County Of-ficials and Three or Four Legis-lativ-e Candidates, Make a Clean Sweep of State. Salt Lake City. It seems that Utah was in favor of making it unanimous on November 2, when the majority of the voters cast their ballot In favor of the Republican candidates, state and national. , With the possible exception of a few county officials and three or four legis-lative candidates, Utah Republican! have scored a complete victory 'throughout the state. This statement Is based upon returns, both complete and incomplete. Late compilations show Charles K. Mabey, Republican candidate for gov-ernor, to be leading the Republican ticket, his lead over Senator Harding being 074 votes. His lead over Senator Smoot Is 1072. Of the twenty-eigh- t counties reporting, thirteen are said to be complete. In almost all other In-stances every polling place in the counf ty has been heard from, but some of those reporting lfnve done so only par-tially. Carbon county, Democratic, on the face of first returns, Is among those now In the Republican fold. Washington county returns, based on reports from eleven of nineteen pre-cincts, still remain In the Democratic column, the only county In the state not Republican. Beaver county, returns Indicate, is Republican by about ten to seven. Boxelder county Is Republican on a basis of approximately twenty-thre-e to sixteen. Cache county voted the same way, sixteen to eleven. --v Davis county voted Republican, twenty-fou- r to sixteen. - Duchesne county, from reports from six of Its twenty-fou- r precincts, Is near-ly three to one Republican. Emery county also Is Republican by three to one. Garfield county will run five to one Republican, judging from partial re-turns, i Iron county Is a little more than two to one Republican, according to complete Teturns. Juab county went for Harding by sixteen to ten, but the other state of-ficials' totals are not of so wide a margin. Kane county is about three to oue Republican. Morgan county Is Republican on the basis of approximately five to three. More than two to one Republican is the Millard county Indication. Piute is Republican by thres to two. Rich county returns show a Repub lfcan vote over that of the Democrats of two to one. Snlt Lake county, including the city, Is Republican by an average of 22 to 15. San Juan county, with very meagre returns, gave the Republicans only a slight lead. Sanpete went Republican on a basis of 20 to 12. Sevier Is more than two to one Re-publican. Summit Is another county that Joined the Republican ranks at tha ratio of two to one. Tooele went two to one Republican. Uintah will go more than two to one for the Republican ticket. Utah, Senator Smoot's connty, went Republican on the basis 6f seven to six, Senator Smoot leading the Repub-lican ticket in the county. Wasatch county is nearly two to one Republican, incomplete returns show. Weber county returned to the Re-publican fold. The vote was the heav-iest cast In the history of the county, and is estimated at 12,000, which la 4000 more than the vote of two years ago and over 2000 more thnn four years ago.
