Show JOHN M. HAYS PLANS TO " RETIRE FROM UTAH COPPER John M. Hayes, prominent Utah mining man, who has been treasurer of the Utah Copper company for more than 20 years, plans retiring from ac tive business life on the first of the year, Several months ago he made known to Mr. D. C. Jackling, managing manag-ing director of the company, his desire de-sire to retire. While Mr. Hayes Is serving with the company under a contract con-tract that requires a year's grace in Its termination on either side, he hopes that his successor will be named and affairs arranged so that he may be free by the first of the year. Mr. Hayes plans to Join his family cn the const, as soon as his resignation resigna-tion takes effect, and to take an extended ex-tended period of rest. Although several sev-eral offers have been made to 'Mr. Hayes to engage In business on the coast, he Is determined to refrain for a considerable time at least from engaging en-gaging In business pursuits. |
