Show m m THE PACE THAT KILL'S The United States Office of PubUc Roads has performed a useful public service ser-vice by securing and disseminating the information that more auto accidents occur oc-cur oh straight roads than on curves. Heretofore it has been assumed that more accidents occurred on curves and that they were due to inability of drivers to see ahead. Records show that this is not the case, Apparently the explanation is that drivers are careful when thev come to a curve but get careless when on a straight road. Excess speed results in accidents. Auto drivers should heed the warning contained in .the information conveyed by the Office of Public Roads. |
