Show FUNERAL "SERVICE OF MRS. DAVIS Funoral services wero held In the ninth ward chapel over tho remains of Mrs. Mary A. Davis on Thursda) afternoon. Tho ward bishopric presided and the choir were in attendance and sang tho opening and closing hymns. Pres. Geo. W. Lindqulst offered the invocation. The speakers were Elders W. S. Sorenson and Jacob Sorenson ol Mondon, Wm. Maughan of Wellsvlllo and Elder Wm. Noble. In their remarks these brothetn bore tholr testimony to the goodness and the beauty of character of tho deceased lady. They told of her service ser-vice to the sick during the Influenza epidemic, and of her kindness of heart to everyone, of her love for little children, and her remembranco of the old. Sho was beloved by all who knew her and Aunt May, as she was familiarly fam-iliarly known, will never be forgotten forgot-ten and her memory will bo kept green in the hearts of many. Musical numbers wero given by Frank Baugh, Sr Miss Nora Ellason and tho Misses Prlscella Morgan and Laura Everton. The closing prayer was offered by Bro. Orson Smith. The chapol was veil filled arid tho casket was covered and surrourided with flowers, offerings' from tho hands- of. relatives and friends 'who !6ved her.- Interment was' In the Mendon cemetery. |
