Show UTAH AUTOMOBILE ASSN. COUNCIL FOBMjDHERE On Tuesday representatives of tho Chamber of Commerce. Kiwnnls and Rotary clubs met und organized the Logan Council of tho Utah Automobllo Automo-bllo association. Tht purpose of tho council Is to reprosunt the city In the UtahAutomobllo association and take part In tho election of the directors di-rectors and formulating tho policies of the stato association. Mr. O. O. Calkins, tho field secretary of tho association was present and assl-t-ed In tho organization. Tho following follow-ing were elected: S. H. Btalr, chairman: chair-man: I'rof. Ray B. Wet, Dr. E. S. Budge, Roy Bullen and A. It. Chamber!!. Cham-ber!!. California has a membership of over 87,000 and an Incomo of moro than two million dollars annually In its automobllo association. This organization or-ganization has don0 much for California Cal-ifornia In bringing tourists to tho state and advertising tho wonders of tho state. Llkowlso Colorado has mndo tho tourist trafllc so great that it has become one of tho best assets of the state. This has boon brought about by nn active and strong state automobile asoclatlon. The scenery of Utah and Its many wonders nrc just as great and attractive as thoso or Colorado or California or any other state or place in tho world. But the world must know moro about It and theso wondera must bo made more acccssiblo to tho public. There must be a concerted and united un-ited action on tho part, of overy city and town in the state' nnd the way to get this action In through the Stato Automobllo association. The former automobile association has been recognized so that It will not bo a Salt Lako or an Ogden association as-sociation but a stato organization. Every council will have a volco and help to determine the policies of tho nsaociatlon. Mr. Cnlklns will be here for yoversil days to solicit mem. bershlpa.
