Show PROMINENT YOUNG! COUPLES MARRIED ATSMITHFIELD Smlthfleld, Sept. 29. The past week has been a busy one In matrimonial matri-monial circles. Three most prominent promi-nent young couples were married on Wednesday at the Logan temple. Mr. George Done Smith and Miss Fern Nllson, Mr. Andrew McCombs and Miss Abigail Done, and Mr. Irl White and Miss Phebo Moses are the couples cou-ples above mentioned. A wedding reception was tendered Mr. and Mrs. George Smith at the bride's home on Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Moses gave a wedding supper on Thursday evening In honor of Mr. and Mrs. Irl White. The girl friends of Miss Fern Nllson planned a most successful silver shower for her on Monday last. Mrs. D. C. Moses entertained en-tertained in honor of Miss Phebo Mose3 and Miss Abigail Done, brides of tho week.. The Library commission met on Friday evening and listened to the report re-port of the committees on sites. The committee decided upon the corner of the Second ward tabernacle rounds, on the corner of Main street, as the location for tho new Carneglo library. Miss Hazel Miles received a majority ma-jority of the votes cast for librarian, and was so appointed at a salary of J 30 per month. Mayor Richardson called a special session of the city council on Monday evening and invited the business men to attend and consider the advisability advisa-bility of organizing a tiro department. depart-ment. The council decided to postpone post-pone action until the October meeting, meet-ing, as very few business men heeded the call. Mrs. Hyrum Hlllyard and son of Auburn, Wyo., are here on a visit with relatives and friends. The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Cragun has been qulto ill the past week. Mrs. Maggie Roskolloy fell and dislocated her shoulder bone. She has suffered much pain during the past week, but Is much Improved at the present time. Oral Low also suffered the past week from a dislocated elbow. Mrs. LUlio Wolstenholme of Salt Lake organized a company of the I Daughters of the Handcart Veterans of our city, at tho home of Mrs. Laura Smith.
