It will bo remembered that Judge Jorgensen recently fined two offenders offend-ers of the fish and gnmo law the sum of ? 15 each, and upon being reported to tho commissioner, ho proceeds at once to place himself In tho position of policeman, Judgo and dictator. Following Is the communication In full: A. Jorgensen, Justice of tho Peace, Logan, Utah. Dear Sir: I was Informed over thp phono yesterdny that you had fined the two parties, who wero arrested for Illegal fishing In the Logan river, tho sum of $15 each. I supposo court costs woro also added to this amount, and wish to say that I am very disappointed disap-pointed in tho manner In which this matter was handled, and if I can secure tho assistance of the attorney general of tho stato In this matter, which I fool I can, I will endeavor to see that you handle no more of these stato cases. This was a flagrant flag-rant violation of the law, and tho parties plead guilty and should havo been fined $100 each at least. If thero are any influences influ-ences that can be brought to bear to have you removed from offlco, I certainly shall do It, for It Is a caso of misplaced justice You will please remit to this offlco, tho fines and court cost, which I hope will amount to nt lcaso $50 each.
