Show 1 AN UNJUST TAX. H Hon. William R. Green, of Iowa, characterizes the H Democratic revenue bill as "a hit or miss, catch as catch H can, here and there measure, without any just plan, or H reason, or right." As a sample of the many gross injust- B ices to Je found throughout the bill he calls attention to V the tax on partnerships when their income is in excess H $5000 and eight per cent of the capital stock. Mr. H Green claims that that provision is an unwarranted dis- H erimination against an individual under exactly similar H -circumstances, who would not be taxed a cent under the H . I11IL "When the bill becomes a law, and the American peo- H pie have had explained to them, and have experienced the H -great inequalities in the measure, they will demand that H l -5ll classes of people in the same circumstances shall be B required to pay the same tax.
