Mrs. Kroguo was a faithful woman who embraced tho gospel In her na- Itlvo land, and bidding adcu to all frlonds and tho old home In Blash-berg, Blash-berg, Denmark, whero sho was born January 21, 1841, sho sailed from Liverpool on December 12, 1855, on tho ship John Boyd, In Knud Patterson's Patter-son's company, arriving In Now York after a tompostous voyago of elovon weeks and threo days. Tho following winter was spent across tho Mississippi rlvor from St. Louis. In 1850 sho camo to Utah, crossing tho plains with an ox team, and at Salt Lako City married J. P. Krogue, and two years lator thoy moved south to Sprlngvlllo, Whon tho soldiers wont south from Salt Lako thoy then returnod to tho city and later, In 18C0, thoy movod to Hydo Park, Utah, where tholr socond child was born, being tho first child horn In Hydo Park, now Mrs. T. A. Greonhalgh of Logan, Utah.
