Show YOUNG COUPLE FROM HYRUM GET MARRIED HYRUM, Nov 17. On Wednesday November 7, Mr Edwin Clawson and Miss Margaret Allen, both of our city were mnrrled in tho Logan Templo. The groom Is tho son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Clawson, and the brldo Is the daughter of Mrs. Rebecca C. Allen. They aro among our most popular and respected citizens. A quiet wedding was held at tho homo of Mrs. Rebecca C. Allen, Wednesday Wednes-day evening where only a circle of tho nearest relatives wero present. A dellclouB supper was served and the evening spent In pleasant pastimes of vnrlouB kind. On November 7, Mr. Victor E. Isrnelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Isrnelson, nnd one of our prominent promi-nent young men, sprung a surprise on his many friends by quietly slipping slip-ping away to Salt Lake City to wed a young lady of Sandy, Utah. TI19 ceremony was performed In the Salt Lake Templo on Wednesday, November Novem-ber 7. Tho meeting was well attended, over 30,000 was subscribed for by those present, and a board consisting consist-ing of nlno members, six from Hy-rum, Hy-rum, two from Paradise, and ono from Avon, was selected. Mr. Frank Price of Wellsvllle. was present and explained the way of procedure which was followt-d by the Wellsvllle organization. j At tho monthly conjoint meeting of tho threo wards of Hyrum last Sunday afternoon, members of tho Red Cross Chapter of Logan, occupied occu-pied tho time explaining the functions func-tions of the Red Cross organization. Tho meeting was very well attended nnd at an aftor session the local branch was reorganized as follows: Chairman, H. W. Oakes, nnd vlc9 chairman Miss Jennie Christiansen were released nnd Mrs. F. H. Cutler was chosen as chairman, while the offlco of vlco chairman was left for the local organization to fill later la-ter on. Mrs. H. H. Hansen or this city. Is reported quite sick at Malad, Idaho, whero sho wont last week to visit her children and especially to bid her son Alma, goodbje, who loft for tho training camp at American Lake last weok. Dr. Arthur Gill, elder son or Mr. nnd Mrs. M. A. Gill, of this city paid his parents nnd frleuds a short vis-It vis-It the Toropart of last week. Dr. gill Is ono of tho army surgeons now training for nctivo service at Fort Riley, Kansas, and came to Hyrum to bid his parents goodbyo before leaving for Franco. Dr. GUI has n younger brother Harold GUI who Is In the aviation corps. A pair of twin boys wero born to Mr. nnd Mrs. Otto Clawson on Thursday Thurs-day the 6th. All concerned are doing do-ing nicely. Mrs. W. C Parkinson and son. Willis, Wil-lis, motored to Preston last Saturd-day Saturd-day to attend tho wedding of Mrs. Parkinson's joungor sister. Messrs Will Ray and Leslie Lil-Jenqulst Lil-Jenqulst of Hlackfoot, Idaho, wero Hyrunr visitors last weok. 1 Mrs. Julia Roper of Franklin, Idaho, was a Hyrum visitor last week being the guest of Mrs. Ruck-ley.
