Show WHY THEY DON'T MARRY. Until recently, when the report that married men might be excused from army or navy service was circulated, circul-ated, there was a cry from all parts of the country that young men were less and less prone to married life. Many theories were advanced for the cause. "Girls expect too much ih the way of home furnishings, furnish-ings, in matters of dress and adornment, in expecting luxury." There were many other reasons given. . The young men, realizing their inability to meet the demands, put away thought of married responsibilities and flitted from one little sweetheart to another. But even this was and is expensive. Every year the requirements and courtesies expected of the would-be popular young beau are a heavier drain on 'the income of the young and unattached young man. It has been a great mistake from either side. Common sense and a better understanding of each other is -vyhat the young men and women need if the marriage mar-riage ratio is to be increased barring war marriages. Young men must expect to give up expensive habits; girls must be willing to join hands for loving sacrifice when they give their lives into the young man's keeping, Equal love, equal interest, equal willingness to sacrifice producers, not just consumers then will marriage be in fact as well as theory desirable for every young person.
