Tho primary object of tho trip was to Inspect In-spect the work being done by tho farm demonstrators In Knjer, Carbon, Car-bon, Wasatch and Uinta counties. Incidentally In-cidentally he noted that the wheat crop ot Emery county was quite large iy a failure due to tho presenco of rust. .According to Dr. Evans, this Condition is qulto a definite lllustra-tlonot lllustra-tlonot the results which follow from the failure ot the farmers to follow the advice ot the most upto-dato agriculture knowledge which "in being be-ing mado posiblo by the expert work of the farm demonstrators, last year Mr, .Stow art -advised the farmers of that region to cease the planting ot spring grain on irrigated farms. Rust which has got control of this year's crop, is largely tho result of the failure fail-ure to follow this Bluiple advice. Dr. Evans siiys that the farmers In the sections vlsted aro cnthusas-tic cnthusas-tic over tho work being done by tho demonstrators, ot whoso work they speak In" very laudlblo terms. Mr. Stewart, who Is a Cache Valley boy, now demonstrator in Emery and Cnr-tion Cnr-tion counties, has done a wonderful work, encouraging the farmers to em-ply em-ply the latest agricultural know ledge In evqry lino of work. Largely Large-ly thru his efforts tho farmers have been led to see tho be'neflt ot making their own butter in cooperative cream ery, thus eliminating tho loss caused where tho cream Is first sold to another an-other who in turn must mako a profit.
