Show THE LUMBER INDUS- TRY Two hundred representatives of the West Coast lumbermen met in conference the past week and decided decid-ed the outlook for that-lndustry was very good. All admit there will be a temporary tempor-ary period of readjustment and only the Immediate future Is doubtful of .available business. Manufacturers were seriously concerned con-cerned about maintaining present high wages, and hoped that market I conditions and demands would enable en-able them to pay the present scale. Government price fixing' regulations regula-tions expire January 15, and these will be sought to be continued until un-til the demand for common lumber for building purposes revives. The masses of the people will not build or plan construction that make a domand for common Jumber at artificially ar-tificially high wages in tho building trades. |
