A good deal of money is yet to be collected In this valley for tho Rlgby factory and the stock salesmen sales-men aro also working hard to soil more stock now. This paper took the stand that while so much stock was owned by Cache Valley people, that It was Its duty to warn thorn ot danger ahead if any. Tho article written In this' paper' urged that tho company officials conio down and hold a stockholders meeting and make tho explanation direct to the people for failure to build tho factory fac-tory this soason as promised. Mr. Goodwin assured us yesterday that the president of tho factory, former for-mer Governor Hadley ot Idaho, would bo down In this valley within about ten days to hold meetings with the stockholders. At present he Is busy with the W. S. S. drive for Idaho. Mr. Goodwin also agreod with thj paper that Cache Valley was' entitled to representation on the board of directors di-rectors and at its next meeting some thing would be done In this matter. This paper has aorlg)uVwlta the Rlgby Sugar Factory. We' only wish them the greatest success in the world, but we do want our peoplo to be on the look out, Inasmuch as they have seen fit to buy this stock. The officials here in connection with Mr. Goodwin seemed to be on the square. Mr. Goodwin is the man that built the Delta factory, and he stated yesterday that when the Rlgby Rlg-by factory was completed that he would build other fatcorles. The Rlgby officials assured us that every precaution had been taken to protect the stockholders. Up until the first of April the company had no paid officers. We hope for the sake of the stockholders stock-holders here that President Hawley will come and make the explanations due. All this paper wants is to take care of our own people. And we shall give tho facts as we get them. |
