Show RICHMOND IS APPRECIATIVE OF SNOWSTORM f Richmond, Jan. 14. We are very, appreclattlve of the snow that has fallen, it Is suck a nice change from the mud, and then there Is a charm about winter and snow thaat we long for, yes both children and adults hall with joy the falling snowflakes when they appear In their proper season. For the sake of fuel short age, we havo been reconslled to the mud, indeed we are glad to put up with any condition that might be advantageous to the present situation, situa-tion, but we hopo the snow will prove beneficial by furnishing a greater water supply to a the farmers this summer, and also give them a chance to clean up their barn yards and to fertilize their land. This In addition to looking upon scenes of purity causes us to feel happy and grateful and we trust the snow will not greatly great-ly increase the cold. The Red Cross work Is steadily going on. Last week more hospital shirts were made and a new supply of yarn has been distributed among the ladles, the Richmond ward Primary Pri-mary sisters having taken a goodly supply. Mrs. Vrra Murray has filled the vacancy of Mrs. Woodslde an teacher of one of the sixth grades. Mrs. Nancy Kerr has returned firrra Ttolt to Salt Lake City. Mrs. Addle Vu Ney who has been visiting with her son at Blackfoot, returned last Friday. The stork left a precious son at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lewis last week. Miss Emma.Ohristensen who has been, visiting with .her .sister, MrsT Orval Chrlstensea, returned to Coalville Coal-ville last week. Mr. Paul Merrill and wife have returned from a visit to Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. George Squires and Mr. and Mrs. John Squires, of Logan; Lo-gan; Mrs. Kate Poulter ot Ogden, and Mr. John Squires of Rexburg, were guests at the home ot J. L. Mc-Carrey Mc-Carrey last Saturday. Olof Woodland and' Peter Woodland Wood-land of Drlgbam have spent holidays holi-days hero with their mother. Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Brower and son of Marysvale, spent two days days here last week, guests of Mrs. Lydla Mathews. Stake conference will be held In Richmond ward next Saturday and Sunday, 'January 19 and 20. County Agent Wrlgley met with the Farm Bureau Association Tuesday Tues-day evening aat the club room and a most profitable meeting was held where uestlons of local interest were discussed. Shortage of help with the farm work this summer was discussed discuss-ed and three propositions of how to meet the difficulty was considered. First, get along the best way possible pos-sible with the help ata hand; second, sec-ond, a petition to have the soldiers at camp called home on a furlough during the busiest season; third, impart im-part foreigners. The first proposition proposi-tion was favored by the majority. The beet uestlon was also considered consider-ed and the profit sharing rate was favored rather than the set price n ton.
