Show ; i y l SUPPORT YOUR OWN j Support your own and build up your own industries, is the slo- !j gan that has made the United States the greatest nation under the I sun. It is the slogan that has provided Utah with untold wealth, f i aml is "ow making Logan and Cache County the greatest city and I . county in the state. It is a pleasure to see the community interest I I manifested in our midst on every hand, and the Republican trusts ,' tl,is sl,irit will grow as the years advance. The Republican again , "rK consideration for home products, and support of home in-f in-f f stitutions. It is the only safe platform, and the only platform on f which a city, county, state and nation will long endure. L Where our own community does not have an industry that calls m for our patronage and support wc earnestly urge the support of K the industries of our next door neighbor, and throughout the com- I ing year wc call special attention to the Ogden Packing and Pro- vision Plant in Weber County. Ogden and Weber have always j m been our friends. They are the kind of neighbors that it has been W a delight to know, and when Logan and Cache County extends the W ,an1 across the divide they are always sure of a warm hand clasp IS in Ogden and Weber. K This important Packing and Provision Plant, a home institution m and representing the independent institutions of the state, is now engaged in a battle with the big meat combine, and is deserving of W the support and patronage of its friends. This Ogden institution K began business on n small scale in 1901 having a capacity for 75 W 'i's. 100 sheep, and 25 cattle. During the present year it increased ' m its capacity so that it can now handle daily 1250 hogs, 1500 sheep, K and 300 cattle, and now the big meat combine is after it. It is up M to the people of the north end of the state to see that it is given a W square deal, and we bespeak the support of Logan and Cache County m in its behalf. Give it,your support, it is worthy of it and will do ft? a Srcat work for the liog, cattle and sheep business of the state. |
