Tho matters that will como up for discussion la tho two routes from Cacho Junction. Jho one from Ballard's Spur and tho other direct di-rect through Benson. It Is claimed by engineers, that tho easiest and cheapest cheap-est constructed route would bo tho ono from Ballard Spur, as besides getting get-ting tho ubo of thrco miles of the present roadbed, tho grade Is considerably consid-erably easier, costing In the neighborhood neigh-borhood of $40,000 lesB than the other route. If It Is decided to go by way of Benson, tho matter of right of way would havo to bo gono Into and so-cured so-cured by the citizens of that town, nB If they want tho road to go this way, this will bo tholr last opportunity opportun-ity to sccuro It. By fixing tho right of way for tho railroad company, thoro Is no doubt but what tho road would como by way of Bonson. Otherwlso It will bo tho Ballard Spur Kouto. Wo understand that Benson wnrd people tako Issue with tho railroad company that tho Ballard Spur routo is cheaper than tho routo through Benson wnrd, as thoy claim that tho former is much more linblo to overflow over-flow with early spring floods than tho latter. |
