A piece of meat became lodged In his windpipe and all elforts to dislodge It proed fatal. A Hyrum physician was summoned but Mr. Salversen died before help could get to him. Mr. Salverscn's death was a most agonizing one. He was fairly well known in this city and In the south cud of the county. The harvest of alfalfa seed Is just commencing, com-mencing, with Indications of an increase in-crease over last year of about 10 per cent, although the quality is not so good, the seed having been damaged In some localities by slight frost in August. Cutting of sugar beets is just commencing, with every indica tion of a largely increased yield throughout the district. Local people are considerably interested in-terested in a llnd of gilsonitc and asphaltum reported by Moroni Price Jr., of McCammon. A few days ago Mr. Prlco came to this city with samples sam-ples of what appeared to bo coal, reporting re-porting that ho had found great ledges of the material whero the foot and hanging walls was of a soft soapy character, crumbling easily. These samples wcro tested at the A. C. of U. and found to be gilsonitc and asphaltum as-phaltum instead of coal. After a couplo of meetings, about twentj business busi-ness men combined and adopted a plan whereby the properties may bo thoroughly examined.
