Show Unfavorable. Last week Karl A. Sheld of San Francisco was In Logan. Mr. Schled Is a surveyor for iho board of Fire Underwriters of the Pacific and was In this city to examine tho risks that were being carried by the various Fire Insurance companies. The statements of the gentleman regarding regard-ing his findings as he perambulated through somo of the back yards are not very commendable for Logan and Its people. This gentleman will mako his report re-port to the board, and the merchants of this city will most likely bo asked to do something In tho way of cleaning clean-ing up. Whether this request Is made dr not, the renovation should begin forthwith. Dry goods boxes, paper, shavings and such combustibles should be lcmovcd, especially at this seasu'i' of tho year. These risks are not to bo taken by tho insuicr unless paid for by the Insured; therefore, as a matter of economy It Is time for a clean up. Then again the health phase of the situation should bo considered, as well as tho improved appearance It would make. The city authorities should see that this move should be made. Don't delay. |
