Show In society. Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Kccler, who quite recently moved Into their new home on First East Street, entertained enter-tained most delightfully Thuisdaj evening. In an aichltectural way, the house Is most splendidly at ranged, and the walls tastefully decotatcd, but Thuisday evening the dainty and charming appeaiance of evciythlug was made more surpassingly beautiful bj the use of cut paper decorations stiung from the chandelleis. Mr. and Mis. Kceler's chainilug graclousness added the one tiling necessary to make the evening pleasant for the guests and It was Indeed most pleasant. pleas-ant. The feature of the evening was "Flinch," but befoie this was begun, Mr. Kccler starred in a guessing contest con-test In which li was the Idea to guess the name names of objects, etc., found on pennies which had been dlstil-butcd dlstil-butcd among the guests. Mr. Kceler's practice in cross-examining witnesses enabled him to fire the questions In gatling gun style, and the guests' un-famlllarlty un-famlllarlty with the coin of the realm became very evident. "Progressive flinch," that Is, the kind where the plajers Immediately take up another game when the first is finished, was indulged until a late hour. The first piize was a dainty banquet and the splendid feature of this kind of Flinch Is that everybody wins. There was cake, and moie cake, sherbet, coffee, salad, sandwiches, olives, etc., and of couisc It was all thoioughly enjoyed. Dining the evening Mis. Kccler sang as she alwajs sings to the delight of all. The writer attempted one or two, and there was voelfeious applause ap-plause when the effort ended.
