Show A NEW CLASS ORGANIZE By the Ladles (or the Purpose of Con- H sldering the Home Duties and with the H View of Making the Home Brighter. H The Mothers Class that has lecent- jH ly been organized in connection with iflH the Relief Societies throughout the Hl church docs not for some reason or fH other seem to be fully appreciated as klH ct. Especially Is this the case with ill the younger mothers In some of the wards of our stake. H Perhaps the object of the class and the work being done is not fully ffAI understood. Not long since I attend- Ul cd que of these meetings held In con- IB ncctlon with the First ward Relief jH society. The subject for the after- JVfl noon was "The Ideal Home For a Day." H A discussion was held (one of the sis- H ters leading and nearly all taking part) H as to how the affairs of home may be H conducted as nearly Ideal for one day, H in the hope that we as mothers might H gain new Inspiration in our efforts to M make home all that it should be. Many valuable suggestions and exper- VAVJ lenccs were given by sisters who have raised large families and whose homes ,H arc Indeed "Ideal". It was intended AV to go with the "family" through the H whole day, but when an hour and a M half had passed the "family had not pH yet arisen from the breakfast table. H It was decided to continue the sub- H ject at the next meeting (they are I M held every two weeks.) Many ex- H pressed themselves as being surprised r that such a pleasant afternoon could 11 be so profitably spent. Numerous f too, were the promises to come again. F M Hut these meetings arc not attended H by the young married sisters as they 'nflYJ should be, and it Is to them more f especially that this Invitation Is given, , TH to come and see what is being JtH done, partake of the good spirit and lia carry it Into your homes. Glorious rH opportunities are placed befoie the ; .H rising generation to gain Intelligence, ' H but too often they arc unappreciated, ' H and it Is the writer's opinion that if , H we do not appreciate the ptlvilcge , H offered of learning how to better , I H manage our home affahs, and train up our children aright we may regret wH it in years to come. True, many of our f H parents have made a success of their H life work without so much dlscussjon H and book learning but they lived H themselves more consistent lives, and ' H the youth had not the temptations j M before them that arc about us today, 'III hence the necessity of the mothers' 11 classes, and all avenues of learning to H counteract the evils confronting us iH Whether or not we arc converted to j the idea of such classes we must ad- ill mlt of their necessity, for none of us .Irlfl arc yet perfect though all aro aiming H'H at perfection. Whatever tho I m per- ,lB fectlons of any parents arc or may tjM have been, today is ours, the future Is ,H on is. If we will carefully study our H chlldi en and seek from ccry reliable ' H source for light upon their spiritual, ( M mental, and moral nature, we shall bo jll helping our Father In heaven, not so W perfectly as wc would wish, but as best !S we can. The angels can do no more.
